Jediism is the Belief in the Force

The New Jediism Order is a Jedi Church that teaches its students (Force practitioners) how to use Jediism in every-day life. The Jedi religion is a broad subject and is very individual to each member. We believe it is important to take the aspects of the Jedi faith that make sense to the individual and use them to advance and improve any given situation in life on a day-to-day basis.

The Force is a unifying energy in which and around which everything exists; it is from what everything came and will always return to. Often compared with the Buddhist idea of Ch'i, the living force, Jediism is based on the philosophical teachings found in George Lucas' 'Star Wars' Saga. The Jedi Church teaches students how to use the Force in order to improve their and others' lives.

Although we do not view George Lucas as a God or supreme being, we acknowledge the research he did when writing about the fictional Jedi Knights. Taking influence from the works of 20th Century philosopher Joseph Campbell; the religious ideologies of Buddhism, Hinduism and Taoism; and teachings from ancient mythical tales, Lucas created a story about the rise of a long-forgotten religion - that of the Jedi - and the reaffirmation of its belief system. It is this research that the Jedi Church take as inspiration to form the basis of our teachings.

The Managing Your Finances course was developed and written by the New Jediism Order as a way of promoting the use of Jediism in every day life. Learn how to stay in control of your finances, invest, save and spend your income to live a comfortable life regardless of your financial situation.

Taught through an online game, students are able to study at the Jedi Church in their own time and at their own pace. As a member of the Jedi Faith studying this course, you will be given an allowance of in-game credits to save, spend or invest, having to justify your actions and learn through course materials and one-to-one tuition with a Jediism Tutor.

The New Jediism Order - 2012 Gathering in Essex, United Kingdom

On the weekend of July 27th - 29th 2012, members of the Jedi Church will gather en-masse for the first time in Europe to celebrate the Summer of 2012 and the first year of the New Jediism Order's existence.

All members of the Jedi Religion are invited to Epping in Essex to celebrate and are asked to fill out a brief form to confirm your attendence. The event is free and will include a seminar from Jedi Church founder Baral Fobre, meditation and a martial arts masterclass.

This is the first time a Jediism event of this scale will take place in Europe, with over 100 expected to attend the weekend of festivities. Members of any church of Jediism are welcome to come - you don't have to be a member of the New Jediism Order to attend.

Held in Epping, Essex, due to its rural setting and proximity to London, the location is easily accessible by Tube and local bus services as well as providing a serene backdrop for Jedi Church meditation in the nearby Epping Forest.
